Welcome to F:E:D - [fresh electronic delivery]
The front end of a brand new year. As always, I'm excited to see what breaks loose in the interactive design landscape. With the base level of connection speeds getting faster and faster this medium will continue to grow and branch out in many wonderful ways. Let's not just sit back and watch - get your ideas out there.

After all change is brought about by those who care to bring it. Happy clicking.

mediaBOOM
http://www.mediaboom.com/
This website stakes claim to a look and feel that turns the clock back. Old time music and sound effects support the retro design look. The clarity of the font throughout the site could have been crisper so that it was easier to read.

AIGA Design Conference, A Tradition over Time
http://www.designconference.aiga.org/timeline/
Audio commentary by many of the past conference speakers including Milton Glaser & Stefan Sagmeister. Each year also dials up the major trends or happenings of that era.

USA Network
http://www.usanetwork.com/
With bold and open layouts and subtle flash movements USA Networks does a good job of presenting their media content. The easy access to video within the layouts is a welcome change that is catching on (thank goodness). Check this too.

Hello Design

This team has produced some amazing work over the years and they seem to keep topping themselves with each project. Spend some time on their site to see the history of projects.

EcoSmart Fire
http://www.ecosmartfire.com/
A 'hot' product from down under. The EcoSmart® Fire is an Australian innovation - an open fireplace. It is flue less and does not require any installation or utility connection for fuel supply, great for apartment & city living.

Look At Book
http://www.lookatbook.com/
Excellent. For thirty-six weeks, a sketchbook was sent in random order between four artists: two in Brooklyn, two in Belfast. Dig in and view the pages - some amazing work.

AnyFilms.net
http://www.anyfilms.net/
Another neat idea and definitely a look to the future of entertainment. 10 possible endings and 11,000 way for the story to unfold. That's right - choose your own story plots to make the feature film.
