Welcome to F:E:D - [fresh electronic delivery]
Another round of great links for the first issue of 2004. There are at least two references to MIT projects in this issue. That is truely an amazing place due to all the people who contribute their wisdom, time and ideas.

The update to wdcf.com has taken shape and is in the works. Happy new year - lets get to the links.

Seraph
http://www.seraph.nl/
Bringing flash experiments & computational knowledge that will make you jealous. Simon, the artist behind this site, says, "...and here I am, still discovering Actionscript." I would say he has it by the horns and is riding it down the road.

Intentionallies

This is what it is all about. Found this as a highlight link on Seraph's site. Incredible interactivity as you browse through their project cards. Hit the floating menu to do some of the work for you or just go fish!

Time Twist
http://www.timetwist.com/
Super thin clocks - like paper thin. One of the first products I've seen incorporating the advances in thin displays. Check these out and then go search on electronic paper at MIT. That is going to change the form and figure of all new products.

The Embassy Visual Effects Inc.
http://www.theembassyvfx.com/
C'mon just for the name you got to put this in here. Backing up the name this company has the chops. Check out their latest spot for Nike. Spider robots - Damn!

HipaTrip

The navigation is a bit funky, but there is some great art hidden inside. The opening photo is quite brilliant.

10 Things I Have Learned - by Milton Glaser
http://www.miltonglaserposters.com/news/pub_10.htm
This is an enjoyable read for anyone in a creative services type position. I'm sure it rings through to those in other industries as well. Take five and give this a read through.

Ben Fry

He's at it again and this time he is, "...interested in building systems that create visual constructions from large bodies of information." To understand that statement just take this zip grid in (to enter additional zips use backspace, then re-key).
